A hexter is a six-week grading period.  Approximately 25 new students are admitted to Centennial every six weeks.  The students who are admitted with start in the Discovery program for the first 6 weeks of their time at Centennial.  Upon successful completion of Discovery, they will then enter into the dominant culture of CHS.
