Centennial High School utilizes six hexters per year. A hexter is a six-week grading period. Approximately 25 new students are admitted to Centennial every six weeks. The students who are admitted with start in the Discovery program for the first 6 weeks of their time at Centennial. Upon successful completion of Discovery, they will then enter into the dominant culture of CHS. Students are selected based on the criteria below.
All prospective students must:
- Attend an Orientation. The orientation sessions are held every six weeks promptly at 1:00/5:30 pm in our gym. If you are an out of district student, please bring a copy of your transcripts with you. Otherwise, there is no need to bring anything with you. Make sure you are early. You will not be considered for acceptance if you are late.
- Return Student Packet. You must bring completed paperwork (given at the orientation) back to CHS by the Friday following orientation at 3:30 p.m.
- Attend a one-one-one counselor interview. Appointment are scheduled for this interview at time of packet return.
Once these steps are completed, students are notified of acceptance or non-acceptance before the hexter begins.
