Dear PSD families, staff and community members,

PSD originally sent information about meals to families Monday morning. You are receiving this second email because things have changed since a U.S. Department of Agriculture announcement Monday afternoon.

In Poudre School District, we believe it is critical that students have access to healthy meals to fuel their growth and learning. To that end, we want to make sure you have information about PSD’s meal distribution plan during remote learning. Please share this far and wide so as many people are aware of this support service as possible.

Who can receive meals?  Any child 18 and under can receive sack breakfasts and lunches. The students do NOT have to be there in-person.

Where are meals distributed? There are numerous meal distribution sites located across the school district’s 1,800 square miles. Meals will be available outside at some PSD schools; PSD staff will also hand out sacked lunches from buses that park at other meal sites. Staff, students and families must wear face coverings and maintain social distancing to the extent possible.

PSD worked with community partners and evaluated demographic data to determine site locations, which are located within 1 mile of most PSD students’ residences.

A map of the meal sites is available here. Please note: Based on use, PSD may adjust meal distribution sites. The latest information will be posted on the PSD website. More info >>

When are meals available? 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday (on scheduled school days)

Is there a cost for meals? There will be no cost for meals. Parent are encouraged to still apply for free and reduced-priced meals as this helps with school funding. For information or to apply, visit the Free and Reduced-Priced Meals website.

What is PSD serving? Breakfast and lunch menus are now available online. >>
